Vaccine transportation discussed at COREX Academy Webinar

On Thursday, December 17, 2020, we hosted the latest in our series of COREX Academy webinars. This one was on the very topical subject of vaccine transportation. The webinar featured presentations from four experts in the area: Andrey Kukharenko, Sergey Baldin, Dmitry Pikalov, and Sergey Shakhnazarov.

Andrey Kukharenko, our invited speaker, started the webinar with an amazing story of the very first challenging vaccine delivery to Alaska in 1925. Thanks to modern technologies vaccine delivery is a smoother process these days. However, expertise is still very much needed in the transport of these life-saving preparations.

After Andrey Kukharenko, Sergey Baldin, another invited speaker, described several vaccines with special characteristics and explained how to deliver them using Envirotainer containers.

Andrey Kukharenko was next with useful information about Russian legislation that regulates vaccine transportation: the latest Acts, underlying problems, and issues that might appear in case of incorrect description of the vaccine storage.

Dmitry Pikalov spoke about the general rules of vaccine transportation and shared his vision of risk management. He underlined the importance of accident and fraud prevention, staff training, and organization of the sign-over process. He also gave recommendations on vaccine delivery to hard-to-reach locations.

Vitaliy Shakhnazarov, shared COREX Logistics expertise in regards to managing vaccine transportation and overcoming key challenges.

Vaccine transportation is a complicated topic with many nuances that should be taken into consideration, and we are happy to share our expertise and experience in handling these kinds of supplies. We are sure that our webinar will be extremely useful for all who work in this field. Big thanks to Andrey Kukharenko, Sergey Baldin, Dmitry Pikalov, and Vitaliy Shakhnazarov.
